IOOB

I got back home from San Diego on Sunday & I have to say it was an amazing trip. I had the opportunity to listen to some amazing speakers. My favorite presentation was by Ben Schneider--a legend in I/O. It was great to be surrounded by people who have the same interests that I do. If anyone is looking for a great way to learn about I/O and present your research I would suggest submitting your research for the 2012 conference next year that will be hosted in Florida. Click here to find out more information and learn about this years conference. http://www.ioob2011.com/

When you are a graduate student--I really think your life plan changes frequently. Last week I had my schedule planned out so that I could graduate this fall. This week I have changed my plan. I now will be graduating next spring so I can work on research and do a thesis. I also will apply for PhD programs like I have always wanted to, even if the odds are against me. I am in the process of looking for a chair for my research on Dialect Bias in Job Selection--which I am extremely excited about! I hope to start sometime in the next month or some so I can begin collecting data.

I still am looking for interns for Youventout so please feel free to contact me if you are interested. http://youventout.com/main/home.php

Last but not least, check out this article if you want to know a little bit more about the type of research I am interested in.
